Thank you for your interest in Mile High Scribes. As a local ACFW Chapter located in south Denver, Colorado, we provide regularly scheduled meetings for ACFW national members to bring faith, fiction and fellowship to our local community. Special events (speakers, book signings, retreats and conferences) support ACFW members in their efforts to become published authors and further their writing craft.

Jeff has been called the de facto gatekeeper of Christian science fiction and fantasy. From his own published fiction to his days at three major Christian publishing companies to his current endeavor as publisher of Marcher Lord Press, Jeff has been an unfailing champion of Christian speculative fiction. The weird stuff. Jeff's The Art & Craft of Writing Christian Fiction has become a conference favorite across the country. His new fiction craft book from Writer's Digest Books, Plot vs. Character, releases in October of this year. He and his wife of 20 years live in Colorado Springs with their daughter and son and a special needs baby girl from China who they adopted.

Even if you’re not planning to attend the ACFW conference, come and practice your pitch and learn everything you need to know about attending a conference. As a group, we’ll be sharing our experiences and ideas on meeting with editors and agents, on how to make the most of your conference experience, and also important tips for following up with new friends and contacts after the conference is over.

If you are a member of the national ACFW organization and wish to become a member of Mile-High Scribes as your local chapter, contact Chris Richards. Dues renew in January of each calendar year and are $15. Associate memberships are $5 and payable directly to the treasurer.
